Portsmouth Literary Events: 2018

2018 Portsmouth, NH ongoing Literary Events

Memoir Writing Group
The Memoir Writers Group at PPL meets on Monday mornings twice a month.
No matter what your writing level, the group welcomes all people who desire to record their remembrances. We learn by submitting rough drafts and participating in constructive critiques. We love to laugh and have fun, even when a memoir pulls our heartstrings.

Portsmouth Public Library’s Cookbook Book Club!
This event requires registration. Please call 766-1703 to register.
We meet every other month on the second Tuesday, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM in the library. Each meeting has a theme and includes a potluck where attendees bring dishes cooked from books within that theme and then discuss the book and theme. Each meeting is free-standing, with no required commitment, so register for the meetings that interest you.
January’s topic is Healthy New Year. Whatever it means to you, we’ll start the year with books on healthy, delicious foods. And if there is a food you’ve been meaning to try or a cooking skill that has intimidated you (yeast? stocks?) feel free to test – you are among friends. A list of suggested titles to start you thinking is available at the Circulation Desk.
